The Well-being of 19th Ave Alleyway

It doesn't take advanced education to look at aerial view over Oregon in the summer to see a correlation between deforestation, hydration and temperature.  To live well –to seek the most beneficial common factors that will benefit all the children of this area after we all die– it makes sense to install regular grey water tanks to help hydrate our city areas to keep us all cool through the hydration of a living canopy providing shade, moisture and better air quality.  We should most definitely be using grey water to water our surrounding landscapes to preserve our precious summer water for the animals, and the essential potable water. We can thank efficiency plumbing and new efficient building to help mitigate increased population to this area but if we continue to pack more and more people into tighter and tighter spaces there is no doubt our annual water usage will continue to rise.  We know the natural habitat for this area is a dense, diverse, multi-layered canop...

I will be reporting two tent sites for the canine walkers, and those public service people who maintain the grounds, to be aware.  One site appears to be against our common agreements as to where campsites are allowed and the other may be within a the backyard of a resident –kid-tent or guests. For us, Bella and I, food left outside tents overnight becomes a problem for all parties involved.  Best to travel with a "bear" safe container or keep food inside and zipped up within tents.  Food left outside is problematic inside urban boundaries as wild animals who might consume food at night are not as plentiful.  We have not seen people or food outside the tent to the east; however two or three people appear to be accessing the western tent; one whom I met and seemed nice enough, however, donuts were left outside the tent.  I hope these campers have communicated and have clearance from ground floor to be stationed in this throughway....

Today I will request a clean up from Public Works regarding two areas of concern.  These areas are marked down here with little red cylinders.  These are the areas I recommend for additional public trash cans. Continually trash collects in these locations. Dear Neighbors, April has brought us warmer weather and people have now started to come around the neighborhood and cause problems. Someone has stolen one of our bikes after breaking into the backyard through a fence, and another person –or perhaps the same person– has rummaged through a backyard and stolen a house key. Another man attempted to access an apartment claiming to be "an uncle" of the occupying resident. Finally a neighbor has reported a package was stolen from a front door and I have been cleaning up evidence of short term camp outs in the alley.  Evidence of a camp-out with trashed electronics were found most recently in the alleyway. I've been able to finish the initial trimming and mulching in the alleyway to keep a pleasant alleyway but also provide the visual clearance security people need to survey the alleyway easily and often.  We also worked on giving a neighbor more visibility to monitor the alleyway.
